We still worship what we want our lives to feel like more than we worship Jesus....

I Started Doing Insanity...
This past Wednesday, I started doing Insanity, the 60 day conditioning program. Never have I been so sore in my entire life. It shows that I am extremely out of shape.
I decided to get in shape in time for the summer, especially so I can keep up with the kids while I’m working summer camp starting this coming June.
Insanity is teaching me not to give up. I can rest when needed, but...

Another thought...
I think I’ve come to the point where Jesus is all I want and all I could ever need. My satisfaction is found in Christ and no one or nothing else. My job? Yes, it’s great and all, but I’d much rather be spending my time with Jesus and/or making His name known.

After a time in small group...
I attend a weekly small group at a friend’s house. Upon praying, I walked out to my car and I found myself praying, “God, I just want You.” I was saying that over and over again.
Later that night, I was worshiping God with a lot of friends and fellow Christ followers, and someone gave me a word that I am forgiven. I struggled so much with sin in the past and sometimes I...

God had been showing me my idols, the things I place a higher value over than my Creator God. We have been smashing them together.
Christ was a part of my life. Soon, Christ will BE my life.

Just a Thought
Stop using the term “Only God can judge me.” It shows that you don’t care if you’re sinning against the God you supposedly serve.
We serve a HOLY God, not a “Imma slap you on the wrist and make sure you don’t do it again” God. Would He approve of your lifestyle?
Your life as a Christian should make nonbelievers...

God is doing something great in me and I’m enjoying the fact that He is showing me the things I need to surrender to Him. Glory to God!

Thoughts from a phone conversation
Satan is a false lover. He will do whatever it takes to have you back with him; I’d say he would even go above and beyond. He will tempt you, whisper promises in your ear, tell you about the “good life” you once had, but once you come back to him, he will continue to abuse you.
Jesus on the other hand, is a jealous lover. He sees the pain that Satan inflicts on you. He...

I have a suggestion for others as well as myself. Whenever you feel the temptation to look at porn or fall into lust, instead you should pray for those in the porn industry, that they come to Christ and be healed of their wounds.
This is great advice. Wow.

churchjanitor:
I think there is a lot to be said about short prayers.
Sure, the lengthy and beautiful prayers of saints and theologians are great for reflection. These prayers may even capture our thoughts at a particular moment, but I think the small prayers are just as important. The brutally honesty of…
